CONCLUDING RHIB FAMILIARIZATION TRAINING HOSTED BY UNODC

The 4^th Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boat familiarization course concluded on 23^rd December 2022 at the Advanced Training Center (ATC) in Kirinda. Five members of the Sri Lankan Coast Guard were being trained by Mr. Stuart Melville, the Chief Instructor for the UNODC. Trainees undertook many practical evolutions at the proximity of the port of Hambantota, including man overboard drills, high-speed turning, underway pacing, anchoring, towing, and casualty handling. All trainees who met the RHIB handling eligibility criteria were issued certificates by the chief instructor and OIC-ATC Kirinda.
