COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO FOREIGNERS AT RISK OF DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Lifesaving Posts, Mirissa rescued two foreigners, during a successful rescue attempt on 26^th December 2022.

Two Russian nationals (25 years old male and female) were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Mirissa beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1801 invaluable lives including 778 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
