COAST GUARD RESCUED A LOCAL FROM RISK OF DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post Panadura beach saved a local during a successful rescue attempt on 30th December 2022.

A 34-year-old male was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers attached to lifesaving post Panadura whilst drowning at sea.

The swift response by skilled Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers managed to save this male’s life despite the heavy current in the area.

Up to now, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1805 invaluable lives including 779 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts around the country.
