COAST GUARD SEIZES STOCK OF KENDU LEAVES

Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel attached to Coast Guard Station Chilaw together with Sri Lanka Navy arrested two persons along with a consignment of 1105.7 kg of Kendu Leaves stored in a house in the Negombo area on 24^th January 2023.

The arrest was done based on information provided by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Sri Lanka Navy intelligence personnel. The arrested person with apprehended items was handed over to the customs preventive office Katunayaka for further investigations.
