COAST GUARD APPREHENDED MUNITIONS AND DRUGS

Crime Investigation Branch Mathara police apprehended munitions and drugs buried at the place in the Yatiyana area based on the information of Sri Lanka Coast Guard intelligence personnel attached to the Coast Guard Base Rohana on 09^th February 2023.

The Coast Guard intelligence personnel along with Crime Investigation Branch Mathara police apprehended 4.515 kg explosives (C4 and TNT), electrical and non-electrical detonators (163 no’s), detonator cord (16 feet), pistol, T 56 and shotgun ammunitions (484 no’s), smoke grenade (01) and drug pills (150 no’s) buried at the place in Yatiyana area.

An arrested person with apprehended items was handed over to police station Mathara for further investigation.
