SRI LANKA COAST GUARD RESCUED PERSONNEL FROM DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post Bentota beach saved (07) seven young males, ages between 19 to 21 years during successful two rescue attempts on 15th February 2023 while they were drowning and dragged away by the currents.

The swift response by skilled Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers managed to save these seven locals despite the rapid currents forming in the area.

So far in 2023, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers attached to 16 life-saving posts around the country have rescued a total of 30 precious lives including 19 locals and 11 foreigners in several successful rescue attempts along the coastal belt.
