SRI LANKA COAST GUARD PROUDLY CELEBRATES ITS 13TH ANNIVERSARY TODAY

The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) was established under the Ministry of Defence by the Coast Guard Act No. 41 of 2009 and formally inaugurated on 4^th March 2010 under the leadership of Rear Admiral LD Dharmapriya, the founding Director General of SLCG. With that SLCG has evolved into a professional Maritime Law Enforcement Agency while acquiring various assets, capabilities and competencies. At the completion of more than a decade, today the Sri Lanka Coast Guard proudly celebrates its 13th anniversary.

Following the directives and guidance of the Director General - SLCG, various social/public welfare and ceremonial celebrations have been organized along with the anniversary day, prioritising religious activities at all regions, establishments, ships and craft of SLCG.
