AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON ‘FISHERY LAW’

Regional Director Northern Region conducted an awareness program on 1^st and 2^nd< April to educate SLN personnel deployed for coastal observation duties at ND Chalei, ND Chundikulam and NDEP Vettilakerny on matters essential for prevention of illegal fishing and other illegal activities. Further, fishing community also were educated on fishery law, illegal fishing activities, other illegal activities in area, SLN/SLCG effort curbing/ preventing illegal activities and the importance of the fishing community contribution to prevent illegal activities.
