SRI LANKA COAST GUARD AND NAVY ARRESTED ILLEGALLY HARVESTED SEA CUCUMBERS

Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel attached to Coast Guard Station (CGS) Oluvil arrested four persons along with illegally harvested Sea Cucumbers combined with Sri Lanka Navy on 08^th April 2023 at Akkaraipattu sea area. The apprehension was made based on naval intelligence and arrests include 8.05kg of the Conch shell, 3.03kg of Sea Cucumbers and 02 Fibre Glass Dinghies.

The arrested person with apprehended items was handed over to Fishery Officer Akkaraipattu for further investigations.
