LIFEGUARDS OF SRI LANKA COAST GUARD RESCUED INDIAN NATIONAL FROM DROWNING

The Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifeguards stationed at the Mirissa lifesaving post successfully rescued a 36-year-old Indian national who was drowning while bathing in the sea on 10th July 2023. After providing immediate assistance and stabilizing his condition, the lifeguards were able to restore the individual to a normal state of health.

The prompt response and effective actions taken by the highly skilled Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifeguards prevented a potential tragedy and ensured the safety of the drowning individual. Their professionalism and expertise were instrumental in successfully managing the emergency situation and providing the necessary aid. Throughout the year 2023, these dedicated personnel have showcased their expertise by rescuing a total of 137 lives, including 58 foreigners, in various successful rescue operations.
