COAST GUARD LIFESAVERS RESCUED THREE LOCALS

The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) life savers attached to Mt-Lavinia life-saving post, saved three locals during a successful rescue attempt in the evening of 23rd July 2023.

These males aged of 15, 23 and 45 years old were rescued by the skilled SLCG lifesavers whilst at risk of drowning and dragged away due to heavy currents at Mt-Lavinia beach.

So far during the 2023, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers attached to 16 life-saving posts around the country have rescued 156 invaluable lives including 59 foreigners in many successful rescue attempts.
