COAST GUARD PERSONNEL ARRESTED 5000 FOREIGN CIGARETTES

On 26^th August 2023, two persons and a motorbike were arrested along with a stock of 5000 foreign cigarettes in 02 operations conducted by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard with the support of the Chilaw Police and the Special Task Force (Mattakkuliya).

The arrest was done based on information provided by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard intelligence personnel and the arrested persons with apprehended items were handed over to the Police Station Chilaw & Police Station Wattala for onward legal actions.
