COMMANDER (H) BD ABEYGUNAWARDHANA ASSUMED COMMAND OF THE SRI LANKA COAST GUARD SHIP SAMARAKSHA

Commander (H) BD Abeygunawardhana assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of SLCGS Samaraksha, one of the significant ships of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 04^th September 2023.

The Change of Command Ceremony was graced by the Commanding Officer of SLCG Waruna and Regional Director Western Region (RDWR) Captain KLKH Marambage. The former Commanding Officer of the ship, Commander (G) MT Vittachchi formally handed over the duties to his successor after a brief colourful ceremony at the Parade Ground, SLNS Rangalla.

The proceedings of the event came to a close after an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer.
