SRI LANKA COAST GUARD REACHES 200 LIFE RESCUES IN 2023

Sri Lanka Coast Guard contributed to save 200 invaluable human lives in this year with a life rescue of 27 years old youth by the lifesavers of Goplapuram Lifesaving Post in Trincomalee on 18^th September 2023.

Whilst bathing, this youth was dragged towards the sea owing to instantaneous sea currents. However, vigilant Coast Guard life guards have responded promptly and brought the victim to ashore safely.

This classic example showcased the utmost dedication and timeless commitments of the Coast Guard lifesavers to perform their call of duty within the 16 strategically important beaches around the island.
