ANOTHER TWO RUSSIAN LADIES WERE RESCUED BY SRI LANKA COAST GUARD

The Lifesavers of Sri Lanka Coast Guard rescued two Russian ladies from drowning at Mirissa beach on 19^th September 2023.

The Russian ladies who were in age 50 and 22 years were bathing at Mirissa beach in the afternoon. At once, they were started dragging away and drowning due to suddenly formed strong sea currents. The Coast Guard lifesavers attached to Mirissa Lifesaving Post took prompt actions to save two ladies and brought them ashore safely before happening a possible tragic danger.

As a responsible government agency Sri Lanka Coast Guard has been done a tremendous social service by rescuing 2007 invaluable human lives so far and 202 lives within year 2023 including 83 foreign nationals.
