SRI LANKA COAST GUARD RESCUED A GERMAN NATIONAL

A German national was rescued by the lifesavers of Sri Lanka Coast Guard from drowning at the Mirissa beach on 20^th September 2023.

The 33 years old German male has visited Mirissa beach for a sea bath in the afternoon. Suddenly, he has experienced dragging towards sea due to heavy sea currents. The vigilant Coast Guard lifesavers attached to Mirissa lifesaving post immediately proceeded towards the person in need of help and assisted him to reach the ashore safely.

Sri Lanka Coast Guard has rescued 203 invaluable lives including 84 foreign nationals within year 2023 up to now.
