COAST GUARD RESCUES ANOTHER FOREIGNER AT MIRISSA BEACH

The lifesavers of Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post Mirissa rescued a male of Czech Republic on 21^st September 2023.

24 years old Czech Republic national was having a sea bath in the afternoon at Mirissa beach. He was dragged away due to suddenly formed in sea currents. Vigilant Coast Guard lifesavers got prompt actions to save the youth’s life and brought him back to ashore safely.

Sri Lanka Coast Guard provides a great social service to general public for many years at 16 Lifesaving Posts in crowded beaches around the island. During the year 2023 up to now, Sri Lanka Coast Guard has rescued 204 invaluable lives including 85 foreigners.
