COAST GUARD RESCUED ANOTHER FOREIGNER AT MIRISSA BEACH

The lifesavers of Sri Lanka Coast Guard rescued an Indian national whilst drowning at Mirissa beach on 15^th October 2023, evening.

The 36 years old Indian has visited Mirissa beach for a sea bath in the evening. Suddenly, he was dragged away and drown due to heavy sea currents when he was bathing. The lifesavers attached to Mirissa Lifesaving Post took prompt actions to save the victim and bring back to ashore safely.

It is commendable that, Sri Lanka Coast Guard has rescued 213 invaluable lives including 92 foreign nationals during the year 2023 up to now.
