SRI LANKA COAST GUARD SAVES A FOREIGN KID FROM DROWNING

A Russian kid was rescued by the lifesavers of Sri Lanka Coast Guard attached to Mirissa Lifesaving Post on 13^th October 2023.

The boy was 10 years of age and has visited Mirissa beach with his parents in the evening. When they were bathing, he was dragged away and started to drown at once due to strong sea currents. The vigilant Coast Guard lifesavers got prompt actions to save the life of the kid before happening a possible fatal danger.

During the year 2023, Sri Lanka Coast Guard has rescued 212 invaluable lives including 91 foreign nationals up to now.
