A GERMAN LADY WAS RESCUED BY THE LIFESAVERS OF SRI LANKA COAST GUARD

The lifesavers of Sri Lanka Coast Guard rescued a German lady at Mirissa beach on 17^th October 2023.

The German lady who was 34 years of age was having a sea bath in the afternoon. At once, she was started dragging towards the sea and drowned due to suddenly formed strong sea currents. The vigilant lifesavers attached to Mirissa Lifesaving Post reacted immediately to save the lady before happening an unfortunate fate.

Sri Lanka Coast Guard has deployed 16 lifesaving posts at the selected crowded beaches and has rescued 214 invaluable lives including 93 foreign nationals during the year 2023 up to now.
