THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY (REGIONAL PROCESSING) OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AUSTRALIAN HOME AFFAIRS VISITS SRI LANKA COAST GUARD

The Assistant Secretary (Regional Processing) of the Department of Home Affairs, Ms. Shan Strugnell along with an Australian delegation visits Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) on 29^th November 2023

The Director (Regional Processing) Mr. Joseph Byrne and the First Secretary of Australian Boarder Force (SL Mission) Inspector Brett Zehnder also participated to the visit. The Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard (DGSLCG) Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana, USP, ndu warmly welcomed the delegation at Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Headquarters, Wellawatte. The Regional Director Western Region and the Commanding Officer - SLCG Waruna, Captain Kelum Marambage also attended to the meeting by representing SLCG.

Both parties discussed about the important matters and proposed projects. The Australian delegation agreed to assist further to SLCG in various ways of capacity building.
