SRI LANKA COAST GUARD CONCLUDED A TRAINING SESSION ON WATER SAFETY AND SURVIVAL FOR 30 AIRMEN

As per the wise guidance of director General Coast Guard, Coast Guard Western Region organized a comprehensive training session on water safety and survival for 30 Airmen belongs to 8th Tactical Transport Squadron of SLAF at Mount Lavinia beach on 26^th Jan 24.

The training session encompasses various practical aspects on water safety which includes proper usage of life-saving equipment (Life Jackets, Life Belts etc), floating methods and other essential skills like boarding to a rescue boat, liferaft boarding and use of rescue tube. Moreover, participants were also trained in managing individuals at risk of drowning while enlightening practical skills on CPR.
