CHANGE OF DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL SRI LANKA COAST GUARD

Commodore YR Serasinghe assumed duties as the Deputy Director General (DDG) of Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) on 15^th February 2024. The ceremony of change in appointment was held at Coast Guard Headquarters, Mirissa was presided over by Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana the Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard. During the tenure of more than a year, Rear Admiral Lashanth Hewavitharana the former DDG has contributed remarkably well to support the command by assisting in various types of Coast Guard Missions.

Being the new DDG, a substantial set of responsibilities were entrusted by the command over Commodore YR Serasinghe who brings a plenty of experience from his previous appointments in SLCG and Navy as well. With the new Deputy Director General SLCG expects to move further ahead by successfully facing the upcoming challenges in the course of SLCG Operations.
