COMMANDER (N) GAYANTHA GUNASEKARA ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR WESTERN REGION

Commander (N) Gayantha Gunasekara took over duties as the 19^th Commanding Officer of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Waruna as well as the Regional Director, Western Region on 04^th July 2024. Before taking over the duties at SLCG Waruna, Commander (N) Gayantha Gunasekara performed duties as Executive Officer of SLNS Thakshila. Further, Capt (G) Kelum Marambage, who held the appointments previously, relinquished his duties on the same day after completing nearly one year and six months of service in the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
