NEW REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR NORTHERN REGION SRI LANKA COAST GUARD ASSUMES DUTIES

The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Commander Dimuthu Samira Tissera as the new Regional Director for the Coast Guard Northern Region and the Squadron Commander of Coast Guard Craft. Commander Tissera officially assumed his duties in a formal ceremony held at the Coast Guard Regional Headquarters in Kankasanthurei on 28^th July 2024.

Before taking over the duties as the Regional Director of the Northern Region, Commander Tissera performed duties as Deputy Sports Director and CSC Manager at the International Military Sports Council (CISM) Headquarters in Belgium.

Lieutenant Sachintha Liyanage, who held the appointments previously, relinquished his duties on the same day after completing nearly one year and three months of service in the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
