Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake formally received the stock of safety equipment from the Head of Compliance & HSES, Expolanka Holdings PLC. Mr. Vinod Jacob , the Deputy High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka visited Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Headquarters for the Handing over ceremony to mark the completion of delivery of Machinery spares of SLCGS Suraksha today (29^th June 2021). The Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear admiral Anura Ekanayake received Mr. Vinod Jacob, and proper mark of respect was also accorded. Mementoes were also exchanged to mark the significance of the event.

SLCG fleet consists of two Fast Patrol Vessels (FPV) SLCGS Samudra Raksha and SLCGS Samaraksha donated by the Government of Japan under maritime capability improvement project. Both FPVs are equipped with limited oil spill response capabilities for recovery and dispersing oil spills.
