Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel attached to Coast Guard Station Chilaw arrested Five (05) personnel along with a consignment of 633 Kg and 650 g of Kendu Leaves packed in 22 white polythene sacks being smuggled into the island. It was arrested during a special search operation conducted in the beach area of Iranawila - Chilaw on 24^th March 2023.
